Wire rope clip 12/13 mm | galvanized
Used for clamping and joining ropes made of steel and synthetic fibers. Used in construction, gardening, and the advertising industry.
Description:
- Clips are used for multi-strand ropes.
- The clip size determines the size of the corresponding rope.
- In combination with a thimble (the thimble size determines the suitable rope size), you can make an “eye” at the end of the rope, which protects the rope against abrasion and deformation.
- When installing the clips, make sure the loose (shorter end – the so-called “dead” end) is placed towards the rounded part of the clip (U-bolt) and the longer (load-bearing rope) is in the seat (from the side of the clamp nuts). Clip order: first – farthest from the eye, next – middle.
- The distance between the clips and the end of the dead end should be at least the width of the clip base; the cut end of the rope should be secured against wire strands fraying.
- After tightening the clips, load the rope with the maximum load expected during use and re-tighten the nuts.
