Steel wire ropes are used in various areas of the economy. Due to their different designs, they are versatile and are divided into different types. Steel wire ropes with 1x7 construction are very stiff, not very flexible, but resistant to stretching. These ropes have much higher abrasion resistance than ropes with 1x19 construction. They are mainly used where the rope works exclusively for tensioning: in industrial installations, in vehicles (brakes, throttle cables), as tensioning and pulling cables for various purposes (masts, antenna structures), and as suspension/guy cables.
